The installation of the four ‘gates’ artwork required us to set the ‘gates’ in a gentle arc. We drilled the holes with our machine, waterproofed all the bases of the gates, lifted the gates into place utilising a hiab, stabilsed and concreted them in place.  We then set up scaffold and hung the required art pieces from the gates.  The four ‘gates’ were created by an international artist and students of the Hobsonville Primary.   The artwork also pays homage to local heritage, installed in a gentle curve to frame the edge of the old runway.
